How donations, event fees, and program-related payments to Youth Welfare Society are handled.

About this policy

Youth Welfare Society is a registered society in Rohtak, Haryana, committed to transparency, accountability, and ethical governance. This Refund & Cancellation Policy explains how donations, event fees, and program-related payments are handled. It should be read with our Terms & Conditions and Privacy Policy.

1. Donations

All donations made to Youth Welfare Society are voluntary and are used to support the society’s objects — youth welfare, education, and environment protection — in accordance with applicable law, including the Haryana Societies Act, 2012 and, where relevant, the Income Tax Act, 1961.

1.1 Refund eligibility

Refunds may be considered only under the following circumstances:

  • Duplicate donation
  • Donation made by mistake
  • Technical or payment gateway error

Such requests must be made within 30 days from the date of donation and are subject to verification and approval by the society.

1.2 Non-refundable donations

  • General donations are normally non-refundable.
  • Donations for which a tax-exemption receipt has already been issued or claimed, where applicable, are not eligible for refund, as per statutory and accounting requirements.
  • Donations already allocated or utilised for programs may not be refunded.

2. Events & programs

2.1 Cancellation by Youth Welfare Society

If an event or program is cancelled by the society, participants or contributors will be eligible for a full refund of fees paid to the society for that event, if any.

2.2 Postponement

If an event or program is postponed, participants may choose:

  • A refund, or
  • Participation in the rescheduled event.

2.3 Sponsorships

Event or program sponsorships are strictly non-refundable, as sponsorship funds are typically committed in advance for planning and execution.

3. Refund request process

Step 1: Request submission

Requests must be submitted via:

  • Donor / participant name
  • Transaction ID / UTR / UPI reference
  • Date of payment
  • Reason for refund request

Step 2: Verification

Youth Welfare Society will review the request and may seek additional information if required.

Step 3: Processing

Approved refunds will be processed within 7–10 working days from the date of approval.

4. Mode of refund

Refunds will be credited only to the original payment method used. Any bank charges or payment gateway fees, if applicable, may be deducted from the refund amount.

5. Force majeure

Youth Welfare Society shall not be responsible for cancellations, delays, or refunds caused by circumstances beyond reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, government regulations, pandemics, strikes, or technical/system failures.

6. Policy discretion

The decision of Youth Welfare Society regarding refunds and cancellations shall be final and binding, subject to applicable laws.

7. Policy updates

Youth Welfare Society reserves the right to amend or update this policy at any time without prior notice. Updates will be effective immediately upon publication on the website.
