Community Outreach

Relief drives, family support, and neighbourhood programs that keep the most vulnerable young people safe.

The most vulnerable young people are often the ones who never walk into a centre. Outreach walks to them. Coordinators and volunteers do doorstep conversations, map who is out of school, who is hungry this month, who needs a winter kit. Seasonal drives — rations, school supplies, warmth — are not the whole program; they are the door. Family support desks then hold the case: a scholarship form, a health camp slot, a safe-space club for an adolescent who cannot be at home after dark. We work with local wards so the society is a neighbour, not a visiting van.

What this program holds

  • Doorstep surveys and family support
  • School kit, ration, and winter drives
  • Safe-space clubs for at-risk adolescents
  • Partnerships with local panchayats and wards

Who it is for

Households in our mapped neighbourhoods, especially where a child is out of school, a caregiver is unwell, or a crisis (fire, eviction, illness) has just arrived.

Weekly rhythm

Walks on a rotating Saturday grid. Desk hours on weekdays. Relief drives as the season and the need require.

How a family joins

  1. 01A neighbour, teacher, or volunteer can refer a family — or a family can walk in
  2. 02We ask permission before entering a home; dignity is the first method
  3. 03Emergency relief is assessed the same day when we can; program enrolment follows
