Skills & Livelihood
Vocational training, digital skills, and first-job pathways that turn potential into independent livelihoods.
Hope without a trade is a heavy thing to carry. The livelihood studio is for youth who are ready to work but have not been given a first chance — no certificate, no English for the front desk, no one to explain an interview. Batches are practical: digital literacy, retail, hospitality, and trades, with spoken English and workplace habits taught alongside. A placement desk sits in the same building as the classroom so a certificate is never the end of the story. Some graduates join employers; others start micro-enterprises with seed support and mentoring. We count placements and self-employment at 90 days, not on the last day of class.
What this program holds
- Digital literacy, retail, hospitality, and trades training
- Spoken English and workplace readiness
- Placement desks with local employers
- Seed support for youth-led micro enterprises
Who it is for
Youth roughly 18–28 who can commit to a full batch. School-leavers, college-goers who need a parallel skill, and young women returning to work after a break are all welcome.
Weekly rhythm
Studio days are weekday blocks with a Saturday placement clinic. Employer visits and mock interviews sit on the calendar every month.
How a family joins
- 01Attend an orientation Saturday — no test fee, no agent
- 02Choose a trade pathway after a counselling conversation
- 03Complete attendance and a workplace-readiness module before placement
